Guests who have already dived here know that there is much more to discover in this place besides the classic canyon. E.g. the coral gardens leading to the steep wall, the small coral blocks in the area of the sand eels and the large overhangs in front of the lagoon. If you take your time here, you will find dragon heads, moray eels and various snails.

An underwater museum was built at the Lighthouse in 2009. In addition to 7 statues to which the pharaoh’s gods “Horus”, “Beth” and “Betah” belong, an elephant made from recycled waste and 2 meters high was sunk. Completed in 2012, the Unter Wasser Museum at the Lighthouse is now world-famous.

The dive site is located in the center of Dahab. Right on the promenade in front of a Bedouin coffee shop, we spread out our carpets, set up our equipment and start the dive via an easy entry. There is almost no current here and so you can take your time to explore the large sea grass meadows and the underwater museum. Photographers and lovers of small sea creatures will get their money’s worth here.

After diving we let the charm of Dahab work on us and enjoy a great lunch in a restaurant directly on the promenade. There is also enough time for a shopping tour before we return to Sharm.
